6. Canvix Chrome extension
The Canvix Chrome extension lets users right-click supported image URLs or paste an image URL and open it in the Canvix editor. The extension has a single purpose: to send the image URL selected by the user to Canvix so the image can be opened for editing.
The extension does not collect passwords, payment information, personal communications, browsing history, keystrokes, mouse movement or page analytics. It does not inject ads into websites and does not sell user data.
When you choose “Edit image with Canvix” or paste an image URL in the extension popup, the selected image URL is opened through Canvix services, including canvix.me and canvix.io, so the image can be imported into the editor. This selected image URL may be processed by our servers as part of providing the requested editing feature.
7. Image URL import and canvix.me
Canvix may allow users to import public image URLs by using pages such as canvix.io/edit/ or shortcut domains such as canvix.me. When you use these features, Canvix may fetch the image URL you provide and temporarily process the image so it can be opened in the editor.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to import, edit, download, publish or share any image you use with Canvix. Please only import images you own, have permission to use or are legally allowed to edit.
8. How we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us run Canvix, such as hosting, storage, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, security and AI/tool-processing providers. For the Chrome extension, selected image URLs are opened through Canvix services only to provide the requested editor import functionality. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of Canvix, users or others.
We do not sell user data. We do not use data from the Canvix Chrome extension to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
9. Data retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including account management, legal compliance, dispute resolution, security and service operation. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and feature used.
